Horizon Report

(Johnson, et al, 2015).

Flipping classrooms is an area I feel that could be both beneficial and valuable to adult learners in the further education sector.  I can even see how it could fit in with may of our courses.  For example some of our evening classes are very intensive and require the learners to be self-directed.  The classroom therefore adopts a behavourist approach where the learners are passive learners and the instructor uses the limited time to cover as much as possible. On the other hand, the flipped classroom would enable the learners to view the lecture from home and the classroom could be transformed to a more constructive and collaborative environment where the instructor takes a more facilitative role.
