Week 8

Today was the day of our presentation.  It was hands on deck up until the last minute but we feel happy that we have delivered a good project.  Poor Rachel has been sick and understandably has been behind on her work.  Unfortunately, she is too unwell to make the presentation today but we’ll give it our best shot.

I tweaked the storyboard submission PowerPoint file to be used in the presentation today as it has our logo and branding (green colour). We’ve kept it to the criteria requested and will try and keep it short and concise.

Here is PowerPoint file we used for the presentation.

We used Emma’s fantastic video that she created on video scribe as an opening and to give a good overview. Lorraine talked about the content and persona.  I talked about using the ADDIE model, pedagogy to technology using Chickering & Gamsons and the storybooards.  We just mentioned for the development that we used Articulate Storyline and Moodle.  Emma finished it with a demonstration of Moodle.  Overall, we think we did okay.  The other two teams did great presentations and it was so interesting to see their work.  Furthermore, it was also nice to see how they approached their own designs and will be of help for our Year 2 project.

I’ll be submitting my storyboard submission and link to the resource tonight as I am off to Copenhagen tomorrow 🙂

Note:  How to Embed a PowerPoint Presentation in WordPress

I learned how to embed this by going to Google Drive, opening file within google drive, going to File, Publish to Web, Embed.  I selected small (if this file is updated in google drive this embeded file will also update).  To embed it I copied the code and went to this blog in wordpress, changed to view in html, pasted the code and changed view to Visual.  This will also work for pdfs and will be handy for embedding files over the 2 years.
